We Build Your Ideas. You Grow.

Get urgently needed training

Got critical skill gaps but no path forward? We turn your ideas into high-impact, responsive programs. Our labor and employer partners jointly identify what is most needed. Our past programs include specialized radiography, surgical tech certification, and wound and ostomy care. If you cannot find it, let us talk about funding it.

  • Impact: The potential to serve the greatest number of workers
  • Relevance across the partnership: The potential to meet an unmet training need for multiple Healthcare Training Fund employers
  • Cost: The number of potential workers served vs. total cost
  • Variety of offerings: We balance our slate of programs to serve a variety of healthcare professionals

Proposals may be fully approved for funding, conditionally approved with a request for clarifying information, or declined with suggestions for resubmitting to the next round of funding.

Successfully Funded Programs

Some of our past projects include:

When no review course for this national exam was offered on the West Coast, we brought a nationally recognized trainer to Seattle to teach a two-day program. Technicians from across Washington participated free of charge.

Because no exam preparation course was available locally or nationally, we worked with a community college to create and offer a 10-week course. Surgical techs from across Washington participated in the training free of charge.

We offered this comprehensive review of Adult Critical Care Specialty with 12.75 CEUs and preparation for the national board exam. This program was offered for free to respiratory therapists from across Washington.

We hosted an education cohort in partnership with San Jose State University to prepare registered nurses for the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board exam. Eligible members from across Washington took this course for free.

“The Kettering Seminar has proven to be a great tool in successfully passing the ACCS exam for many of my coworkers. That’s why we are bringing it back.”
